Dr. Martin Gruber in an interview about two-tier medicine
In an interview with ÖKZ, Dr. Martin Gruber talks about the differences between statutory health insurance and elective consultations, particularly in terms of waiting times and quality of care. He deliberately decided against a panel practice because the fee system was not economically viable for him and he wanted to offer his patients more comprehensive care. His practice is geared towards maximum care and goes beyond the services provided by the public healthcare system. Gruber also speaks out against the compulsory obligation of young doctors in the health insurance system and instead calls for more attractive working conditions in the public healthcare system.
