At that time, the injury was treated surgically and the anterior cruciate ligament with the semitendinosus tendon was reconstructed arthroscopically. However, the knee kept giving me problems and there was recurrent swelling in the joint.  <\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-12b6496 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"12b6496\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Diagnosis and treatment<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-670ed42 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"670ed42\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During a checkup in April 2022, a painful extensor deficit was clinically noted and a cyclops syndrome was diagnosed by MRI scan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cyclops syndrome is a form of arthrofibrosis and presents as spherical scarring at the attachment of a cruciate ligament graft. A typical clinical sign is a persistent and painful extension deficit in the knee joint due to the mechanical blockage. In another minimally invasive procedure, the cyclops tumor is removed, leaving the patient pain-free and fully mobile.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-596b717 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"596b717\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Behandlung<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-11fda72 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"11fda72\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die Behandlung des Scheibenmeniskus ist abh\u00e4ngig vom individuellen Leidensdruck. Ein unauff\u00e4lliger Scheibenmeniskus, der bei Patient:innen keine Beschwerden verursacht, bedarf keiner operativen Versorgung. Liegt hingegen ein Einriss vor, der Schmerzen ausl\u00f6st, erfolgt die Behandlung durch eine arthroskopische Teilmeniskektomie, auch Meniskusremodeling genannt. Dabei wird das Volumen des Meniskus reduziert und er wird in die physiologische Sichelmondform gebracht.
